A reseller runs a portfolio of client businesses from a single Actionist account. Each client keeps their own workspace, their own data and their own subscription. You get scoped, revocable access to do the work, and a flat cut of what they pay.
Almost every question about the programme resolves once you can picture these three objects and the one that joins them.
Your reseller profile
One per organisation, not per person. It carries your company details, your certification, and the status that decides whether the dashboard is open to you.
A client workspace
An ordinary Actionist organisation with its own subscription, its own agents and its own data. Nothing about it belongs to you.
The relationship
The link between the two. It is what commission is calculated against, what a delegated session is opened for, and what carries the permissions the client granted.
You register an organisation, not yourself. That is why applying needs an organisation manager rather than any signed-in user.
Client data never crosses over. Your dashboard holds counts and totals. It does not hold their documents, conversations or billing details.
Access is borrowed, not held. You reach a client workspace through a session that is created, scoped, and thrown away.
Your reseller account has exactly one state at a time.
The whole Reseller section is driven by a single computed phase. Knowing which one you are in explains everything the interface is doing.
unregisteredYou see the programme landing page and the application form. Docs and the Certification Hub are already open to you.
pending_certThe Certification Hub is your home. Overview, Clients and Revenue show padlocks.
quizA quiz run exists. It never resumes, so returning here means cancelling it and starting fresh.
certifiedOverview, Clients and Revenue unlock. The Certification Hub disappears from the navigation.
blockedThe dashboard closes. Only Actionist support can lift this.
There is no review or approval step between applying and certifying. Submitting the application form takes you straight to the Certification Hub. The gate is the quiz, not a person. See Getting started as a reseller.
Being blocked does not take away the Manage Reseller tab. That tab exists because your workspace is managed by somebody, which is a separate fact from your own reseller status. A certified reseller can be another reseller’s client at the same time, and the product supports that deliberately.
Separate from your account status, each client link moves through its own states. The Clients table simplifies these into Active or Inactive, which is why the table sometimes looks like it is lying to you.
State
What it means
What you can do
Syncing
The client signed up and their workspace is attaching. It can already read as Active
Wait. Management access is genuinely unavailable until this finishes
Active
Live and manageable
Everything the client granted
Canceled
The client’s subscription ended
Nothing. The client moves to the Historical filter
Force disconnected
An Actionist administrator severed the link
Nothing. This is not something either party triggers
The syncing state is the single most common source of confusion. A client can display a green Active dot and still have View as client greyed out, because operational status and management availability are two different fields. Hover the disabled button for the specific reason. See Managing clients.
You inviteAn email invitation goes out. Only one can be pending per address.
They sign upTheir new workspace attaches to your reseller account automatically.
This is worth understanding early, because it explains why the reseller dashboard shows so little about each client. It is not an oversight.
Lives in your reseller account
Client names, join dates, plan names and an active or inactive status.
Totals: how many clients, how much revenue they generated, what you earned.
A commission ledger, one row per client payment, showing your cut.
Your own payout wallet and payout history.
Never leaves the client’s workspace
Their documents, agent memories and conversation history.
Their card details and invoice documents. The ledger states plainly that client billing details are not visible.
Their API keys, tokens and service-account credentials, permanently.
Anything at all, unless you have an open delegated session for that client.
You reach a client’s actual workspace only through a delegated session, and only while it is open. There is no background sync, no mirrored copy, and no way to read their content from your own dashboard. See View as client.
Every managed client gets a Manage Reseller panel showing who you are and eight toggles controlling what you can reach. Nothing is granted by default and nothing is permanent.
They see youCompany name, contact person, email and the month you were certified.
They set the scopeEight toggles. Three are flagged as sensitive. All start from a deliberate choice.
The server enforces itLocked areas are refused at the source, not just hidden in the interface.
Credentials stay lockedNo toggle exists for secrets. There is no state in which you can see them.
Credentials & API keys
Not a permission that can be granted, by anyone
HARD LIMIT
This shapes the working relationship more than anything else in the product. You can prepare a client’s entire workspace, but the moment a step needs their login or their secret, the app hands it back to them. Plan for that rather than being surprised by it. Client permissions and access covers the toggles, and Credentials and API keys covers the boundary.
Your client holds their own Actionist subscription and pays for it themselves. There is no reseller checkout and you never front their bill.
You earn 25% flat
Every client payment creates a ledger row recording the payment and your cut. The rate is fixed and each row keeps the rate that applied when it was created.
Paid monthly in USDC
Pending balances settle in monthly batches to a wallet you configure. The Revenue tab shows the next estimated payout date.
Nothing stops you charging the client your own fee for the work you do on top. That arrangement is between you and them and Actionist does not handle it. The 25% is the commission on their Actionist subscription.
It is worth being precise about which part of the money Actionist actually touches, because only one of the three shows up in your dashboard.

Not surfaced in the app today
There is no referral dashboard, referral link, or referral ledger in the reseller section today. If you are planning to build on referral income, agree the terms with the partners team in writing first rather than assuming the app will track it for you.
Revenue and payouts covers the ledger, the wallet setup and what happens when a payment is refunded. The Partner Program page covers the commercial side, including the ways partners structure their businesses.
A client can reduce you to no access whatsoever with eight clicks. What they cannot do is detach the workspace from your reseller account on their own.
The exact wording a client reads in their panel is: “This workspace is permanently managed by reseller. To disconnect, you’ll need to cancel your current subscription and create a new workspace.”
What a client can do unilaterally
Turn off any of the eight permissions, at any moment, without telling you. Their workspace keeps running exactly as before. Your next delegated session simply has less in it.There is no notification to you when this happens. If an area you were using is suddenly locked, that is usually why.
What needs Actionist
Severing the relationship itself. That is an administrative action, not a button either party has. If a client genuinely needs to leave a reseller relationship, that is a conversation with Actionist support rather than something you or they can action in the app.
What this means for how you sell
Set expectations at the start rather than at the end. Tell a prospective client that the relationship is durable by design, that they control access permission by permission, and that credentials are never included whatever they enable. In practice clients who understand the model tend to grant more, not less, because there is nothing left to be anxious about.
Reseller is an item in the main Actionist sidebar. Opening it reveals a sub-navigation of its own, split into two groups.

Certification Hub, Knowledge Center, Manage Reseller
Open from the start. The Hub disappears once certified, and Manage Reseller only appears if your own workspace is managed
The Knowledge Center tab loads these very docs inside the app. If you are reading this on the web, the same pages are one click away while you work.
The Reseller section is one of two areas that stay locked inside a delegated session, along with Projects. You cannot manage your own reseller account from inside a client’s workspace, which is exactly what you would want.
One reseller account, many client workspaces, no shared logins anywhere in the model.
Eight client-controlled permissions · Server-enforced · Credentials outside the model entirely.
